Johnny Hunnicutt has been a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International since 2022. He has worked in almost every area of church ministry including Bible quizzing (as a quizzer, quiz coach, and coordinator), Sunday school teacher, outreach leader, security team director, youth leader, kids camp group leader, college and career leader, and Bible study coordinator.

Johnny grew up in Crosby, Texas where he received the Holy Ghost when he was 10 years old. At the age of 16, he moved to Alexandra, Louisiana where he became extremely involved in several ministries at the Pentecostals of Alexandria until he went to college where he attended Louisiana State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He moved to Houston in 2009 to pursue a job in banking then as a Business manager/International Supply Chain manager for a chemical company. He enrolled in University of Houston Clear Lake and earned a M.B.A. while working full time. During that time, he met his future wife Erin through their church college and career group. Erin was enrolled in University of Houston College of Pharmacy where she earned her Doctorate in Pharmacy.

In 2022, both Johnny and Erin felt the call to help My Father’s House church in Cypress, Texas. During this season, Johnny then felt it was time to answer the call to ministry and received his local license in 2022, then his general license in early 2024. While following God’s call in their lives, the couple received their greatest blessings, when they adopted their twin girls Aria and Alexandra in June 2024. The couple both believe the Lord has led them all their lives for such a time as this to help lead as many people as possible to Jesus.
